We are happy to announce that EM CUSTOM DESIGN MACHINING has officially become ISO 9001:2015 certified.

This is a significant milestone for our company, as we have always sought to hold ourselves to a high standard of continuous process improvement, and now we have formal recognition of the hard work and effort it took to put a rigorous quality management system in place.

For those unfamiliar, ISO 9001 is a quality management system (QMS): it’s a set of standards or framework that gives a business or organization a set of guiding principles that allow it to provide a product or service better and with consistency. ISO 9001 is the world’s most common QMS, with companies across nearly every kind of industry participating.

It gives EM DESIGN guidance and quantifiable ways to continue with best practices and to keep up with our commitment to continuous process improvement. It has helped us standardize the work and the reporting of it, to take clearer measures of what’s being done and how we can improve as well.
